Crunching the Numbers

This morning, I poured my coffee for the day, whipped open my laptop and decided to check up on Athirah's progress. She has shown remarkable commitment and consistency in doing her exercises. To top it off, she has also scored considerably high marks on average for all four subjects. For this week's report, I'll be summing up her progress so far on the four subjects, Bahasa Melayu, English, Science and Mathematics. Between the four subjects, Athirah showed the most interest in doing Bahasa Melayu Exercises. Her statistics show great mastery in almost all the subtopics (marked green and turquoise). However, it would seem that she needs to work further on subtopics regarding syntactical formats and excerpting from unformatted texts (as marked by the yellow bars). The red bars indicate that she has to give full attention to improving her ability to comprehend formatted texts and poems as well as building sentence structures. +1 for The Internet!

331st March 2019 A week has passed since my mentorship in SK Bangsar. We were tasked by our Social Engagement lecturer to submit a report regarding our activity. Although at first we planned on having a group discussion at the faculty, in the end, we had to resort to an online discussion, due to some of our members who are unable to make it at the discussed time. Our group leader, Izzati, instructed us with different tasks so that we can get the report done faster. I was in charge of writing a news report alongside two of my other group members, Hasya and Nadia. The first thing I did before I started writing was to check up on Athirah's progress on i-Learn Ace. With the help of a parent account which is linked to her account, I can check up on her current statistics such as the amount of questions she has answered over the month, as well as her rankings. Speaking of rankings, I was quite amazed that she has been holding on to her reign as the top ranking student in her school!

Seasons in The Sun

224 March 2019 Nasi lemak is the most important meal of the day! Its our second day in SK Bangsar! This time, we decided to have our breakfast in school, together with the kids. It was a very good opportunity to bond with them even further. While we were at it, we also discussed with them about our plans for the day. The kids agreed to start immediately with i-Learn Ace as soon as we all finished our meals. Switching mentors from time to time can prove useful, especially when a photo needs to be taken! This time, the kids proved themselves independent in being able to access and use the platform. They had no problem logging in, writing e-notes, checking their statistics and retrieving the questions without any external help. As promised, I helped her with her English and Science subjects. For English, we practiced her mastery on prepositions. I gave her brief descriptions of certain prepositions such as "in", "or", and "at". To help her even f
